
Ellen Bergly is the Weld County Volunteer and Partnership Coordinator for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC). This position focuses on planning and implementing outdoor stewardship projects while also building volunteer capacity and community engagement in the Weld County area alongside the City of Greeley Natural Areas and Trails division. By enhancing partnerships and local volunteerism to benefit public lands within the Weld County region, this role addresses the intertwined issues of public and environmental health.
Prior to joining VOC in April 2023, Ellen worked at AloTerra Restoration Services where she led various ecological restoration projects around the state. Before her work at AloTerra, she taught outdoor education to students at YMCA of the Rockies and Avid4 Adventure Mt. Evans Outdoor Summer program. Ellen holds a degree in Natural Resource Management and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University.
